Tsai Identity
Exhibition Design
Brief
Design visual identity for Tsai, designers scarf that explores natural dyes. Background
Working along with Tsai herself, we concluded that the chinese character that spell out Tsai resambles that of flowers, which of course stems from nature.Solution
The identity practically developed itself, accompanied by Tsa, we made design choices that we felt fit for it's purpose. I refrained from using any hand-lettered typefaces that represents organic and natural, and instead went for a more sophisticated humanist typeface, to bring a balance between the two, since the symbol itself feels organic and natural.Method

Type Design
Experiential Typography
Note
Letters gather into words, words build into sentences. Typography is a means to communication and this is my share of love for their shapes. I never intended to build them into usable typefaces.Method
